she had a womanly instinct that clothes possess an influence more powerful over many than the worth of character or the magic of manners.

do rainbow troll earings count?
today i came across my child-hood jewelry box. j was asking about a heart necklace – a girl in his class had brought one in for show-and-tell.
remembering i had some kid-friendly and most likely heart-shaped jewels in it i dusted it off and let him puruse through it’s tacky colorful contents.
i decided that today being so grey, the world around me could use a little color.
which j thought was super cool of me. obvi.
which also made him suggest he should get his ears pierced. um?
if you’re interested in borrowing these gems, just shout.
(they may or may not make your ears red and itchy within 36 seconds.)
do you have any ancient artifacts you have resurrected and love to sport?
happy [troll-icious] tuesday.

Wow. You know, your sister (aka, “The Troll” has a birthday coming up in a few (okay, nine) months. Just a thought. Although I completely understand that you may never be able to give these up. Maybe a long-term loan? Just promise me that you’ll tell her how hurt you will be if she doesn’t wear them often. On dates, and to clubs. And that you want to see pictures. On Facebook.

funny you wrote this and went through old stuff. I just came across some of Justin’s old hemp necklaces. Now lets talk about sweaty…… He wouldn’t take them off if he was on a winning spree. Same for the green socks. Thank God I didn’t find them.
